This seemingly simple goal – whilst also keeping an applicable price structure in order – was quite literally driving us in circles. After years of trial and error, the conclusion was to copy our own “The Silver Bullet OTL” circuit , but with transistors in the output stage. Yet again this resulted in an EINSTEIN typical circuit which, outside of our own adoption, hasn’t seen much of an audience in the world of high-end audio. As in our OTL designs, the circuit is designed as fully balanced and thus is able to captivate with an incredible signal to noise ratio and the elimination of typical sound influencing circuit distortions.

We have named the power amplifier circuitry Pure Class A / Balanced Double Single Ended Circeltron Architecture. This circuitry is identical to the one used in “The Amp Ultimate“.

Through a high bias current design, we attain remarkable linearity and an extended bandwidth across the frequency spectrum, ensuring uncompressed dynamics and revealing even the subtlest details at any listening level.

In line with our OTL circuitry, the new “The Poweramp” incorporates a cascade circuit featuring a differential amplifier. The input stage of “The Poweramp” employs double triodes, specifically the EI PCC88, renowned for their exceptional linearity. Similar to the OTL, this circuit utilizes the incoming signal to generate a perfectly symmetrical and balanced signal, amplifying it to the desired level. This ingenious design allows us to employ two identical power amplifier transistors in the output stage, possessing technical specifications comparable to the power tubes found in our esteemed “The Silver Bullet OTL”. The floating mass configuration further ensures freedom from interference issues, such as ground loops, that can otherwise degrade the signal-to-noise ratio. As is customary with all EINSTEIN electronics, the volume relay remains outside the signal path, upholding our commitment to pristine audio reproduction.
